Lisa Faulkner has said she and partner John Torode missed the National Television Awards after their taxi arrived too late.
The former EastEnders actress said she and the MasterChef star were dressed and ready to go to the ceremony but their taxi did not come on time.
She shared a photo of them on Instagram in which she is dressed in a black, off-the-shoulder gown and he is kitted out in a dark tuxedo.
She captioned it: “We were all suited and booted and cab was too late and by then so would trains have been so we have missed the @officialntas.”
Torode also posted a snap of the couple, writing: “It’s a long way to the NTAs if your cab doesn’t come.
“All dressed and nowhere to go. Good luck #masterchef.”
The cooking competition was nominated for best challenge show at the ceremony but was defeated by I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here.
