ROCK and metal fans from Worcester will be heading to the picturesque location of Catton Hall, Walton-On-Trent for the annual Bloodstock Open Air Festival on August 9.


This year, the legendary godfather of theatrical rock Alice Cooper will close proceedings on the Sunday night, with a back catalogue that includes classics such as School’s Out, I’m Eighteen, No More Mr Nice Guy, Welcome To My Nightmare, Hey Stoopid and Feed My Frankenstein.


With exclusive performances, three stages and more than 100 bands from across the world of hard rock and metal, Bloodstock offers weekend camping, a wide selection of food and bars, merchandise stalls, metal karaoke, and four days of furious festival fun.


Fellow headliners Behemoth and Machine Head will perform alongside Cooper, with the likes of Testament, Dimmu Borgir, Orange Goblin, Watain, Hatebreed, Iced Earth, Sepultura, Anvil and many more, to complete an illustrious 2012 line-up.


This year’s Bloodstock Open Air Festival takes place at Catton Hall, Walton-On-Trent, South Derbyshire, between Thursday and Sunday, August 9 and 12.
