Musical Moments will entertain an audience at Birlingham Church, near Pershore

Dark nights will be with us again by the concert date, Saturday, November 12, from 6pm, but the organisers, the Friends of St. James Church, plan to lift the gloom with "an evening of relaxed entertainment, with songs, skits, poems and prose performed by invited musicians, actors and poets".

A spokesman added: "Complete your evening with a light buffet supper, served in the village hall where you can listen and even dance to our resident band, Up Beat.

Tickets are available from 01386 750570 or 07585 904636, with all profits going towards funding the planned improvements to St. James Church.

Chairman for The Friends of St. James, Marian Kirkland, said:

“We have managed to attract some excellent artists, some local and others coming from as far away as London. The evening is a lovely opportunity to relax in pleasant surroundings and enjoy the performances of both professional and amateur actors, musicians, poets and vocalists; there really is something for everyone. Bring your friends and family, book early to avoid disappointment and enjoy something a little bit special.”
