AWARD winning singer, Robert Habermann will have his eyes firmly on "Ol' Blue Eyes", when he comes to Evesham Arts Centre, next month.

On October 22, from 7.30pm, Habermann will 'sing Sinatra' in a show called "Sinatra - His Way", which charts the music legend's varied, controversial and complicated career.

A spokesman said: "Frank Sinatra's 'rise and fall and rise' makes an engaging tale. He first hit the lime-light as a big-band singer and went on to become a 1940’s 'pop idol'; but his career and private life unravelled.

"Re-inventing himself with new material and a film part in From Here To Eternity, Sinatra began a meteoric rise to even greater fame as singer, actor and playboy - recording the most famous songs and albums of the 1950s, building his own record label and enjoying all the trappings and scandals of stardom."

The spokesman added: "Within 10 years Sinatra led the famous 'Rat Pack' and was romantically linked to Marilyn Monroe; he also became a personal friend of President Kennedy."

Habermann tells the 'whole' Sinatra story and will sing many of his classic songs, including 'Come Fly With Me', 'You Make Me Feel So Young', 'Fly Me To The Moon', 'Witchcraft', 'Strangers In The Night', 'My Way', 'New York New York' and many more.

The spokesman added: "It's a hugely entertaining evening of interesting anecdotes and great music,- so much more than a tribute."
