Fund-raising gala evening

A SPARKLING charity gala night featuring a compilation of show-stopping songs from the West End and Broadway productions is coming to Pershore this weekend.

The Back to Broadway spectacular features stars from the stage and screen, including the beautiful Helen Noble, who played Abby Davies in TV’s Hollyoaks.

All proceeds from the fast-moving production will be donated to Acorns Children’s Hospice, which helps to care and support local children who live with life-limiting and life-threatening illnesses, and their families.

The event is being organised by Glen Britton and Bowbrook Friends of Acorns, which has been organising fund-raising events for the hospice since 2002.

Acorns spokeswoman Sophie James said: “The Back to Broadway production company has been supporting the charity with various performances throughout the region and with its summer school programme last year.

“We’re thrilled that thanks to the efforts of Glen Britton and her amazing team of supporters the proceeds from this brilliant night of music and theatre will go straight to Acorns.”
