A FULL breakdown of Chamber of Commerce’s Quarterly Economic Survey (QES) will be revealed next month during a networking breakfast at Worcestershire County Cricket Club.

Worcestershire businesses are invited to hear the results of the biggest economic survey in the country, providing them with a detailed overview of the local business climate.

The survey, which was conducted in September, received 600 responses from region’s businesses, the highest amount recorded locally. Because of a response rate of such magnitude, local business concerns will be heard in the government as well.

The results for the two counties are highly reliable in indicating the economic scene, being closely monitored by organisations such as the Treasury, the Bank of England, the Office for Budget Responsibility and the IMF.

Other than focusing on business sales, exports, recruitment, and investment as major business indicators, companies were also asked about the hitherto influence of Brexit on their decisions.

The event takes place on Thursday, October 13, between 7.30am and 9.30am. It will be opened by the chamber’s chief executive Mike Ashton, following a full English breakfast.

Mr Ashton will be taking questions from the attendees, as well as from Gary Woodman, chief executive of Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, Ben Mannion, strategic development director at Hewett Recruitment, and Phil Dutton, branch manager at Handelsbanken.
