JOBS and training firm eResponse Group has recruited a new client service director to deliver its new adult learner loan services scheme, aimed at people who want to gain qualifications or launch a new career.

Craig Hughes has joined the Worcestershire-based eResponse training division to oversee the service, which offers a 24+ advanced learning loan to cover course fees charged by training providers and colleges. Mr Hughes, who will report to commercial director Sam Morgan, said: "I am delighted to be joining eResponse to offer this vital support and to lead such an exciting project which will eventually be available on a national scale.

“Funding for adult learners is gradually being reduced with support now being prioritised by learner loans. That is because they enable people to gain the higher level qualifications and skills they need and will only rise in popularity with government plans to lower the qualification age to 19 and make more advanced qualifications available in the years ahead.”

Mr Morgan added: "We are launching the new funding stream with pilot courses in Worcestershire and then rolling it out nationally across several sectors, especially for driving qualifications through a specialist division we are set to launch later this month. We’re starting 2016 as we finished 2015, creating opportunities and helping everyone to seize them. Craig’s a fantastic addition to the team and brings a wealth of knowledge and delivery experience. Many people in their mid-twenties, or older, struggle with training costs if they do not have financial support. With no credit check, the loan, which starts from £300, is not paid back until the learner is earning at least £21,000 a year."
