IT'S the big "4-0" celebrations for technology firm OGL Computer, which has lined up a week of birthday cakes, balloons, quizzes and a special Ruby Ticket tombola.

Cindy Phillips, the Stourport on Severn company's marketing manager, said: "We want our 40th birthday to be a really special occasion and we are very excited about our Ruby Ticket Tombola, which will give staff the opportunity to win a whole range of fantastic prizes. We are so appreciative of the support we have received both from the OGL directors as well as from our suppliers and partners who have donated prizes to ensure we can offer staff a day to remember.”

Established in 1976, OGL has retained its roots at the heart of Worcestershire and now employs more than 260 staff across its two sites. Over the past 40 years it has expanded its portfolio of products and services and now supports more than1,000 customers across the UK with a wide variety of IT services as well as supplying specialist ERP software to stockists and distributors.

Debbie Byrne, operations director for OGL, added: "The 40th anniversary is a big milestone for our company. Over the past four decades we have seen vast changes in the industry and the way in which businesses utilise technology to grow and improve their operations, and we get great satisfaction from knowing that we have helped them achieve their vision. As a family business we place great value on our staff and our customers and are proud of the fact that we have a number of them who have been with us for over 30 years and have shared in our journey.

“We are now looking forward to the next 40 years and what future technologies lie ahead. We are fortunate to have a talented team of people who continue to take our business forward and ensure we deliver the best service to our customers. This week is all about celebrating all those individuals and what we have achieved together.”
