AN enterprising Worcestershire woman has faced the challenge of redundancy full-on by starting her own business.

Jacqui Morley, of the Ridings, Droitwich, has set up a new venture, Spa Business Projects, offering freelance project management and administration services to local businesses.

The company provides a flexible solution for firms reluctant to recruit staff in order to keep their fixed costs to a minimum, but who still need to progress certain projects such as marketing campaigns, corporate events or general administration support.

Miss Morley said: “It would have been very easy to have become very despondent to find myself in a redundancy situation yet again, but with the encouragement of business colleagues, prospective clients and the support of my family and friends, I kept a focus on my key strengths and identified a gap in the market for this type of service.”

Wychavon District Council has already acknowledged the potential of the business by awarding Spa Business Projects a match funding business grant which has helped fund the initial start-up costs.
