LOCAL companies can gain first-hand insight into Worcestershire County Cricket Club’s £10 million development project this month.
Businesses from around the county are invited to a ‘Finditinworcestershire’ breakfast and networking meeting at the New Road ground on Wednesday, August 29.
It is chance for local suppliers to find out about the business opportunities likely to be generated by the project.
The ‘meet-the-buyer’ special meeting will begin at 8.15am and include a presentation from David Leatherdale, chief executive of Worcestershire County Cricket Club. Registration and breakfast will take place from 7.30am.
Members of the countywide networking programme can book a free place for the event on the Finditinworcestershire website.
Premier Inn and its parent company Whitbread have already committed £7.5 million to the new hotel and restaurant, while Worcestershire County Cricket Club is investing £2.5 million in the new conference centre, plus a supporters’ bar, executive suite and ground entrance.
Mr Leatherdale said: “We are looking forward to welcoming many of Worcestershire’s leading business people to the County Ground at New Road. As well as hearing all about our exciting developments and the opportunities we expect them to create, delegates can also enjoy a day’s play for free and experience the unique hospitality that only New Road can provide.”
Those in attendance are also welcome to stay for the second day’s play of Worcestershire’s LV County Championship fixture by e-mailing claire@finditinworcestershire.com.
A lunch and free parking is included.
