HARTLEBURY-based CP Foods held a fund-raising extravaganza and raised more than £6,000 for Worcester’s Maggs Day Centre , bringing the charity one step closer to building a new shower block.

Maggs, which supports homeless and isolated people, needs £24,000 to complete the renovation work. The entertainment organised by CP Foods included falconry displays, Ferrari driving experiences, a fun run and a barbecue.

Gloria Blount, of the CP charity partnership, said: “The day was a resounding success and I would like to thank everyone involved for making it possible. “I’d also like to thank the companies and individuals who came from all around, mingled in the sun and took part in the activities. The cherry on the cake was the weather – who would have thought it would have been so kind to us.”
