HUSBAND and wife team Lee and Sarah Shelton, directors of Worcestershire kitchen and catering design house Procaterserv, are taking on the UK catering sector after conquering competitor giants and securing major appointments.
Following major catering installation contracts from household names including London Zoo, River Island and Mama Group, the couple are taking Procaterserv into a major new growth direction. The Sheltons, who have 30 years combined experience in both back and front of house catering and kitchen installations, only launched Procaterserv in February 2008 and last year saw an 80 per cent growth increase in their turnover. The couple based in Stoke Prior, between Droitwich and Bromsgrove, are now predicted to reveal a 1.2 million turnover during 2010.
Managing director Mrs Shelton said: “We are small compared to some of our competitors in our sector. However, this has worked to our advantage and we have proved we can compete with the giants.
“We offer a different approach to how we design and install. We lead the installation from our in-house CAD design stages and manage the supply and installation, all under one roof. This is appealing to commercial businesses as they wish to deal with one project leader to undertake and complete the project successfully with no risk of waiting on other outside suppliers.” The success has seen the company move for the third time in 12 months, from a home office extension, shared office space to leasing its own building with more than 1,000sq ft at Harris Business Park, Stoke Prior.
The couple have also just created three new ‘in house’ roles to accommodate the company growth. They have appointed a new regional sales manager, a project manager and an administrator. Mr Shelton, sales director, added: “To win contracts and the trust from such household leading names is a dream come true for us.
“This really represents how hard we have worked to ensure Procaterserv stands out from the crowd.”
