Staff at Worcester’s only insurance broker to be awarded chartered status are celebrating following exam success.

Veronique Veillet and Chloe Masters, from Hazelton Mountford, have both been awarded their Cert CII by The Chartered Institute of Insurance.

Chloe, a claims handler at the firm, said: “The achievement of being Cert CII means such a great deal to me as I have been studying and working towards this level of qualification since I started with the firm two years ago.

"Both the qualification and the exams have provided me with insurance knowledge which helps me every day when dealing with both complex and simple claims.”

The certificate is a core qualification for insurance staff working across all sectors of the industry, providing basic insurance principles including the regulatory environment, key disciplines of underwriting and claims, in addition to popular products such as motor, household, healthcare and packaged commercial insurances.

Veronique, an account handler, said: “I am incredibly proud of my achievements so far and feel motivated to continue my CII studies. I feel as though I am on a firm career path.”

The company – which provides insurance in a number of sectors including business, property, transport and equine – works with a range of clients from small local charities to international corporate firms.

Gordon Hazelton, managing director, said :”We are absolutely delighted with Veronique’s and Chloe’s recent exam successes. They have both shown such focus and dedication, combing their full time roles with their studies.”
