A CITY firm is continuing to thrive as it reaches its latest milestone.

Worcester Eyecare, in Sidbury, opened in July 2016, so has now reached a second year trading.

The opticians is the dream of city businessman and optometrist Avtar Nandra who studied at Manchester to gain his degree in optometry and has been practising for 18 years since then. At the age of 10, after his first visit to the opticians, he told his mother working in the industry was wanted to do when he grew up.

In the two years of the firm up and running it has won three 'Best Rated' awards and had a successful 50 point inspection that checked reviews, ratings, reputation, history, trust and cost.

Mr Nandra said: "We value our customers and build a good relationship with them by taking time and care over every order, from sight test through to choosing a frame and fitting it. Our list of customers has grown consistently in the locality over the last two years."

The firm has also found time to support charity, holding coffee mornings to support Macmillan Cancer Support.

And for reaching the milestone, on the firm's Facebook page, a competition is being run with the winner receiving a pair designer sunglasses.
