POPULAR hotel and spa the Bank House recently impressed inspectors, achieving a four AA star status.

The Bransford hotel was visited by AA inspectors, and staff and owners worked together to held them achieve the four star rating.

Under AA criteria hotels rated that highly are considered to have "attentive and professional staff, spacious luxurious public areas, luxury accommodation and an extensive range of facilities".

The hotel has 66 rooms and suites, including a 2,500 square foot Penthouse, with stunning views which can be seen from both the spa and restaurant.

The news follows the appointment of Jason Mayglothling as the hotel's general manager.

Mr Mayglothling said: "We are absolutely delighted to have gained a 4 star rating from the AA.

"We have all worked hard to achieve the success and the team have been really guest focused which was picked up by the inspector which was specifically mentioned in the report following her visit.

"Our new status really is a credit to the whole team.”

Mr Mayglothling has an extensive hospitality background having previously worked with various hotel groups including Macdonald Hotels, Menzies Hotels and The Hotel Collection.

After finishing university he worked in the Middle East, before starting a role as a restaurant supervisor within Macdonald Hotels. This developed his keen eye for detail and dedication to succeed, ultimately motivating him to become a general manager.

Mr Mayglothling added: “We are looking forward to a busy summer and hosting some of our own events later in the year.

"We have a fantastic location with some stunning views of the Malvern Hills. We have the wonderfully relaxing Malvern View Spa and of course the amazing 18 hole Florida style golf course.

"Our rooms are well appointed and have ample space to relax if staying for business or for some well deserved R&R.”
