WORCESTERSHIRE-based creative agency Drp has won a prestigious award at a ceremony held at Edgbaston Cricket Ground.

The Hartlebury firm has won the award for the Investment category at this year’s West Midlands Business Masters awards which took place at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground, Birmingham, on Thursday, May 3.

In attendance at the ceremony were a number of local businesses, from construction and retail companies to recruiters, all who are driving innovation and success for the West Midlands area.

Dale Parmenter, Drp chief exectutive, said: “Although we have offices across the UK and operate on a global scale, we take great pride in our history and heritage.

“Over the years, we have progressed from a small business to a medium-sized business and, to do so, investment in all areas has been imperative.

“This award is a celebration of the investment we’ve made in both our employee and customer experiences and signifies the recognised need to carry this on in the future.”

Over the last two years Drp has made several significant investments across all areas of the business including team development, acquisitions, facility upgrades and customer experience.

More than £1m has also been invested into Drp’s facilities, creating new and innovative working and development spaces.

Drp has invested into the customer and education experience through educational discussion dinners such as drptalk and drpbigtalk. Drp has also launched the drpacademy, which is managed by their new learning and development manager, Jez Light.

These investments led to a 76.3 per cent increase in turnover in 2017, compared to the previous year.

The award is the latest success for the firm, which won nine awards at the Corporate Content Awards held in London earlier this year.
