THE first in a series of developments of shared ownership houses from Fortis Living has been completed in Worcestershire.

Fortis Living, which provides 15,000 homes throughout Worcestershire, as well as Herefordshire and Gloucestershire – has put the final touches to two, bedroomed semi-detached homes in Elmley Lane, Cutnall Green.

The homes are Fortis Living’s first properties to be built under the government’s Shared Ownership and Affordable Homes Programme, which aims to increase the supply of shared ownership and other affordable homes in England by 2021. Homes England provided the grant funding for the scheme.

Mark Ramdehal, head of development at Fortis Living, said: “We are delighted that this development has now been completed.

"It’s been a really exciting venture for us, particularly as it is the first such development we have done since the government announced increasing shared ownership homes within the UK.

“There has been an increase in the need for affordable homes over the last few years and that is why we embrace such initiatives as this.

"Offering shared ownership provides an affordable alternative to help people get on the housing ladder.”
