HUNDREDS attended the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Spring Business Expo.

The popular event, held on Thursday, featured more than 120 exhibitors from businesses of all sectors and sizes.

The event, which took place at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern, featured a networking breakfast, networking zone, food and drink producers zone and free seminars. Mark Wright, the winner of BBC’s The Apprentice series 10, provided an insight into building a strong digital marketing strategy and there was an opportunity to meet the fund managers from the Midlands Engine Investment Fund.

Worcestershire County councillor Ken Pollock, cabinet member responsible for economy and infrastructure, said: “The Chamber Business Expo is a great opportunity for people to meet potential customers and suppliers, and network with existing contacts.

“Businesses exhibiting at the event have a unique opportunity to raise their profile. Attracting inward investment is key to growing Worcestershire’s local economy, which is why events such as this are an important part of my calendar.

“Vibrant, well-attended events such as the Chamber Business Expo prove how determined Worcestershire is to remain Open for Business. With one of the fastest growing local economies in the country, Worcestershire has a lot to offer existing companies, and new businesses looking to invest in the county.”

A range of exhibitor stands at the event included Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, Worcestershire Business Central and Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce. Worcestershire County Council was represented by the Worcestershire Innovation stand. Smaller enterprises, such as Malvern-based Beach Art Glass, were also in attendance.
