A WORCESTER law firm is celebrating after becoming one of the major sponsors of the city's football team.

Harrison Clark Rickerbys is sponsoring Worcester City FC for the coming season, and a sponsorship cheque was presented by family law head Kevin Harris-James to the club's joint manager Lee Hughes, on the day of the club's first league match of the season.

Played at City's Bromsgrove base, the match proved thrilling as City kicked off the season in style beating Heanor Town, 3-0.

Mr Harris-John was further celebrating the coming season as son Josh, has recently joined the football club.

Kevin Harris-James, who presented the sponsorship cheque to joint manager Lee Hughes on the day, said after the match: “I’m delighted that we can support our local club – I’m obviously proud of Josh’s achievements, but I’m also very proud to be able to invest in local talent in the city.

"I’m looking forward to a great season.”

Lee Hughes said: “We very much welcome the firm’s support and we’re looking forward to the season.”

Josh Harris-James comes to the club via its youth team and Studley, Causeway Utd, Fairfield Villa and Cadbury Athletic. He started his career at Feckenham FC.
