A WORCESTER-based firm has been identified in London Stock Exchange Group'S (LSEG) list of the nation's fastest growing companies.

Calder, based in Prescott Drive, has been recognised in the 1,000 companies to Inspire Britain report, that identifies the most dynamic small to medium sized businesses across the UK.

Calder design, manufacture, install and service cost-effective and environmentally responsible pumping solutions for safe and hazardous areas.

To be included in the 1,000 list, companies needed to show consistent revenue growth over a minimum of three years, significantly outperforming their industry peers.

Ian Calder-Potts, director and founder of the firm, said: "What a privilege, not only to be included in the 2017 edition of ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ for the third time, but additionally to be invited to visit the great London Stock Exchange, the oldest stock exchange in the world.

"Our team will endeavour to continue our solid growth with the innovative attitude, experience, and product quality which has proved so successful for us.”

Xavier Rolet, chief executive of LSEG, said: "Four years on, LSEG’s ‘1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ report continues to highlight the dynamic, entrepreneurial and ambitious businesses across the country that are boosting UK productivity, driving economic growth and creating jobs.

"The strength and diversity of these companies is readily apparent with a broad mix of UK regions and sectors represented."
