STAFF at a Worcestershire law firm have raised more than £600 for this year's chosen charity.

Over the past year, staff at Thomas Guise, based in Copenhagen Street, have held various fundraisers which raised £665.80 for the Grace Kelly Ladybird Trust, the charity which supports youngsters with childhood cancers and provides grants for research into rare paediatric childhood tumours, including malignant rhabdoid tumours.

Events have taken place at the Studley headquarters and have included a sponsored couch to 5k run, a guess the number of sweets competition, a raffle for a Christmas hamper, a Christmas jumper day and a bake off.

Zoe Dale, solicitor and member of the charity committee at Thomas Guise, said: “This was a fantastic charity to be raising money for.

"The events really brought the firm together with staff members coming forward with fundraising ideas and trying something new.

“The funds raised will make a significant difference to raising awareness of childhood cancers, which can affect a staggering 1 in 500 children before the age of 15.”

Jennifer Kelly, from Grace Kelly Ladybird Trust, added: “I want to thank the whole team for their efforts both in fundraising but also in terms of sharing our post and raising awareness of the charity. We hugely appreciate it.”
