TWO key appointments have been made to a housing developer, who is expanding into the Midlands region including Worcestershire.

Leading housing developer Westleigh Partnerships have welcomed Robert Blaney as a senior land manager, taking on responsibility in the county as well as Warwickshire and Shropshire.

Mr Blaney has been in the construction industry for more than 20 years and will seek to identify opportunities for new developments.

He will be working alongside Westleigh's head of new business for the West Midlands, Gino Siani, and land manager Tim Hart.

Luke Hopkins has also joined Westleigh in the position of senior design engineer and will be leading the engineering design aspects of development projects in the West Midlands.

The new appointments form part of Westleigh’s regional expansion plans, which have also seen a new 1,600 sq ft regional office opened at Birmingham Business Park earlier this year.

Mr Hopkins said: "The expansion into the West Midlands makes this an exciting time to be joining Westleigh

“Hopefully my experience and contacts in the West Midlands will allow me to contribute towards growing and developing Westleigh’s profile in the region.”

Manager Mr Hart said: "I am pleased to be a part of this exciting expansion for Westleigh.

“I’m really looking forward to playing my part in bringing much-needed affordable homes to communities across the West Midlands.”
