A WINCHCOMBE resident is launching a new jewellery shop in the Cotswold town.

Asa Cupitt is opening Ella Bella Jewellery at number 7 North Street this Bank Holiday Monday, May 1.

Townsfolk are being welcomed to drop into the store between 10am and 4pm to view the premises and enjoy a complimentary glass of Prosecco.

The new owner moved to Winchcombe from Droitwich Spa two years ago, and is promising the new shop will specialise in quality silver jewellery from contemporary British designers as well as leading international brands.

There will also be a selection of gifts for all occasions and a jewellery and watch repair service, while commissions will be available for anyone who would like a bespoke piece of jewellery designed and made.

She opens the shop after almost 20 years' experience of the retail jewellery industry, having run another shop in Worcestershire. Asa was also a finalist in the entrepreneur of the year award in 2016.

“I believe there is a gap in the local marketplace for a quality jewellery and gift shop," she said.

"If residents can buy locally, from an independent store, it will help boost the local economy and hopefully prevent people having to travel to the larger neighbouring towns when they want to buy a special gift.

“We welcome the support of local residents when we open on May 1.

"Please pop down to say hello, enjoy a glass of bubbly and there will be a special 10 per cent discount on all sales on the day.”
