A CITY law firm employee has taken the office manager of the year title at a prestigious legal awards ceremony.

Aimee Williams, of Thursfields Solicitors, was chosen by judges of the Worcestershire Law Society’s Legal Awards 2017, held at glamorous ceremony on April 7 at Stanbrook Abbey, Worcester.

Her hand work, attention to detail and tenacity clinched her the trophy in the best support staff category.

She is Thursfields’ internal operations manager based at the law firm’s Kidderminster office, from where she coordinates the activities of 140 staff based at sites in Worcester, Stourport-on Severn, Halesowen, Sedgley, Birmingham and Solihull.

Aimee Williams from Thursfields joined eight years ago and has seen her role expand rapidly with the growth of the firm, with her being seeing as the go to person in the organisation for all aspects of practice management, from facilities management, insurances, HR, compliance and marketing.

Priya Tromans, a president of Worcestershire Law Society and one of the judges for the awards, said: "We thought Aimee’s ability to manage a large number of offices as well as the additional HR work she does was commendable.

"She appeared to be genuinely approachable and passionate about the growth of the firm.

“The judges thought her modesty was admirable but she was thoroughly deserving of recognition for her hard work combined with her attention to detail and tenacity.”

Aimee said: “It was lovely to be nominated and I was very surprised to win. But it was a great evening and really exciting to pick up the trophy.”
