A WORCESTERSHIRE hotel and events venue has been shortlisted as hotel of the year.
The Wood Norton hotel in Evesham saw off tough competition to be named as one of seven finalists for the Midlands in 2017's Hospitality Awards.
Hotel staff will discover if it has been named the winner during a ceremony being held at the Mecure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel, on February 6.
General manager of The Wood Norton, Steve Sweeny, said: “Since The Wood Norton opened in late 2012 we have worked extremely hard to create a luxurious and comfortable experience for all our guests.
“I am extremely delighted that this hard work has paid off and The Wood Norton has been shortlisted as just one of seven finalists in the Midlands category – particularly when you consider how many hotels there are across the region.”
The hotel reopened in late 2012 following an extensive £10 million refurbishment program, and features original 19th Century French decor throughout the hotel.
