THREE new trainees have joined a Worcester supply chain company as part of its policy to encourage young talent.

CMCA(UK) of Gresley Rd, which specialises in bespoke solutions mainly for the defence and aerospace industries, has appointing two new apprentices and a trainee project engineer. The company launched its apprenticeship scheme in September 2014 to invest in and develop future employees, thereby adding value to the business while supporting the local economy.

Darren Topley CMCA(UK) managing director said: "We believe a fresh perspective, new ideas and developing skills are extremely valuable to a growing business such as CMCA(UK). We have appointed Oliver Jethwa as our first technical apprentice, who throughout the two year scheme has proved to be a most effective addition to the CMCA(UK) team. While going through the apprenticeship process with us, Oliver has proved his ability by completing the modules for his apprenticeship with time to spare while also achieving his HNC in electronics. Due to Oliver's efforts and drive to succeed we are thrilled to announce that Oliver has now accepted the full time position of Project Engineer with us.

"In addition to Oliver we also welcome a trainee project engineer, William Bradley. William has recently graduated from Cardiff University with an impressive degree in mathematics met with us to discuss an alternative role, but having impressed us with his approach, and mathematical background, we have offered William the opportunity to join us as a Trainee project engineer. William will initially be joining the Rolls-Royce team.

"Following our success with recently qualified apprentice Oliver and the technical apprentice approach, we have appointed two new administration apprentices who will be trained to understand and develop CMCA(UK) processes and grow with the business. Bethanie Minton and Tom Meacham will initially be working in within our codification and procurement departments but expand to other areas of the business."
