A WORCESTERSHIRE accountancy group has strengthened its team as sets its sights on further expansion in the West Midlands.

Hayward Wright, which has offices in Worcester, Redditch Solihull, has appointed a new director to its senior management. Gareth Wood has been promoted from his role as client manager following 18 months during which he has brought in new clients and played a role in the company’s ambitious growth plans. The management accountant and business finance specialist, who joined Hayward Wright in March last year, will now take the lead in the company’s organic growth plans.

Alistair Hayward-Wright, founder and managing director of Hayward Wright Accountancy Group, said: “We knew when Gareth joined us last year that he was a talented and well-connected accountant who builds a strong rapport with clients. In 18 months he has more than proved his talent and ambition. He is a first-rate accountant and someone with the ability to give clear and concise advice. His promotion is well-deserved and I am delighted to have Gareth as part of our new-look senior team.”

Mr Hayward-Wright added that 30-year-old Mr Wood’s new role will allow more time for the firm to concentrate on its growth strategy and further acquisition targets.

Mr Wood said: "For almost 10 years Alistair has built a widely respected and trusted business. Now part of the senior team, I am thrilled to be in a position to help write the next chapter in our success story.”

The privately-owned firm, which was founded by Mr Hayward-Wright in 2007, employs a team of 16 and last year moved into its new £180,000 Redditch headquarters.
