A GOLF day organised by Herefordshire & Worcestershire Prince’s Trust raised almost £6,000 to support disadvantaged young people in the area.

Business owners and professionals from the local business community took on the 18 hole course at the Worcestershire Golf Club in Malvern and afterwards heard from entrepreneur Kerry Hawkins, who turned her life around with the help of the Trust’s Enterprise Programme and now runs a successful children’s day nursery in Evesham.

For the fifth year running, the event's main sponsors were Bishop Fleming Chartered Accountants of Worcester and partner Ian Smith said: "The Prince’s Trust does the most fabulous work in giving disadvantaged youngsters a chance to turn their lives around. The local business community appreciates their work and gives fantastic support. We are proud to be committee ambassadors during the Trust’s 40th anniversary celebrations and would encourage other local businesses to support where they can.”
