A TEAM of accountants from Bishop Fleming’s Worcester office are to cycle in a relay between the firm’s Truro and Worcester offices in aid of St Richard’s Hospice.

The ride that involves more than 100 staff across the whole business will set out from Truro on Friday, September 11. Relay teams will take on challenges over four days to ride between the company's offices to raise funds for local charities. The Bishop Fleming Worcester office has picked St Richard's.

Julian Carroll, a corporate and business services manager at Bishop Fleming who is cycling the whole 325 miles, said: “We certainly have a big challenge to tackle, but we are very keen to raise as much as we can for the hospice and that will spur us on.”

Rachel Jones, fundraising manager at St Richard’s Hospice, added: "We are delighted that Bishop Fleming has chosen us as their charity. The money raised will help us to continue to provide free specialist palliative care for patients living with life-threatening illnesses and support their families. We wish Bishop Fleming the very best of luck with their challenge”

The Bishop Fleming Worcester team has hosted various fundraising events to raise awareness of the tour, including a golf day at Gaudet Luce Golf Club, Droitwich, and a quiz night at Worcestershire County Cricket Club, which raised £1,110 and was matched by funding from Barclays Bank.
