WHAT better person to invite along to open a new business headquarters than the Government's business minister.

So Sajid Javid, who is also the local MP, dropped in to the new offices of marketing communications agency Gough Bailey Wright in Bromsgrove to do the honours.

GBW was founded in 1936 and in 2015 celebrates 10 years since the management buyout by owners Sue Bailey and Michelle Wright. The move into new fully-integrated office space will ensure the agency continues to thrive as a business and create local jobs. Three new team members, including a local apprentice, have already been appointed since the move, which has been supported with assistance by the Marches and Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership Regional Growth Fund.

Mr Javid said: "Gough Bailey Wright is a fantastic example of a local business which continues to grow and succeed, creating jobs and doing its bit for Midlands business and the creative industry. This is testament to the direction of the owners and the quality of the agency’s work. I’m only too happy to officially open the new office and I wish GBW all the best as it enters this exciting new era.”

Managing director Sue Bailey added: “We were delighted that Sajid agreed to take the time out of his hectic schedule to officially open our new office and meet the team. The new space is inspiring and fresh, and it’s great to see everybody on one floor working together. This occasion is also far more than a new office opening. It has been ten wonderful years since Michelle and I took over the company. Not only have we grown in size and introduced new departments, but our work has been recognised by industry awards, which are testament to the great team we have, who are full of passion and creativity.

“I have no doubt the next ten years will be as thrilling as the last, as we ensure we continue to provide our clients with the very best marketing services across the many and varied platforms. Watch this space.”

Strawberries and cream were on offer as the GBW’s department heads showed off the new working environment. The purpose-designed space in St Johns House, Church Street, Bromsgrove, means clients will benefit from fully integrated services across the company’s creative design, digital, public relations and specialist property PR teams.
