EVESHAM'S Wood Norton hotel has unveiled the latest stage of its £10m development and refurbishment scheme by opening the Taittinger Terrace in partnership with the leading champagne brand.

More than 200 business representatives from across Worcestershire attended the launch event with a glass of cool champagne going down well beneath the summer sun.

Wood Norton's general manager, Steven Sweeny said: "The Wood Norton’s new partnership with Champagne Taittinger is an extremely exciting time for us and I am delighted that so many local people were able to join us in our celebrations. Many local residents are unaware the Wood Norton is as much a first class food and beverage venue as it is a quality hotel and following the great turn out for the Taittinger event, I now look forward to welcoming everyone back in the near future for afternoon tea on the terrace, fine dining or corporate events.”

Kevin McKee, UK Director, Champagne Taittinger, added: "Taittinger is delighted to be associated with The Wood Norton. This luxurious hotel and its picturesque Taittinger Terrace is a perfect place to enjoy a glass of one of our many cuvées, surrounded by the peace and beauty of the Cotswolds.”

Since its official opening in late 2012, The Wood Norton has established an excellent reputation with visitors from across the UK, who are wowed by its original 19th Century French decorative interiors and luxurious bedroom suites.
