UNDERGROUND heating was the surprise item when businesses were given an overview of the 10-year strategic plan for the economy of Worcestershire.
The Local Enterprise Partnership were explaining the reasons why the county is a great place to come in a presentation to around 80 potential investors from all over the country at an event at the New Road cricket ground.
Under the theme World Class Worcestershire they set out the key developments going on or planned to improve the county's economy.
One of them is the possibility of tapping into geothermal energy for heating homes and businesses.
Parts of the county are over large areas where wells could bring up water warm enough to heat houses or horticultural buildings.
Other key elements of the economic strategy are:
Worcester's Southern Link Road, including the dualling of Carrington Bridge
Development of the Worcester 6 business park
Norton Parkway rail station
New phases of Malvern Hills Science Park
The Hoobrook Link Road serving the Kidderminster enterprise zone
Kidderminster railway station and a possible national skills academy for heritage rail at the Severn Valley Railway
Cathedral Square development in Worcester
Roll out of superfast broadband
Flood alleviation, especially the heightening of New Road
The Worcestershire Business Central growth hub
Vale of Evesham food enterprise park
