LAW firm Kerwoods Solicitors has announced a number of new appointments.

It has recruited Veronica Du’Quesnay as head of residential conveyancing, Charlotte Kelly as an associate handling probate, trusts, wills and elderly client affairs, and Carly Robinson as a legal assistant. The additions come as the firm in Church Road, Redditch, continues to grow, with staff numbers now rising to 26.

Partner Jan Thompson said: “We are expanding generally, though more particularly in the private client and residential conveyancing departments. We are looking to increase numbers further and continue to develop the firm. Our preference is to recruit locally where possible.”

Ms Du’Quesnay joins from volume conveyancer Simply Conveyancing, having previously been with Blackhams Solicitors and Young & Lees. Very experienced, she has been nearly 20 years in the sector and is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives.

Ms Kelly is a private client solicitor who was formerly with Thursfields. Her experience includes will preparation, lasting powers of attorney, inheritance tax planning, deputyship applications, and elderly client care. She is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly and The Law Society’s private client section.

Redditch born and bred, Ms Robinson has a first class law degree from Derby University and went on to be commended in her legal practice exams at the University of the West of England in Bristol.
