VISIT Herefordshire, the official tourism body for the county, has appointed Jenny Beard and Wendy Tolley as two new directors.

Having worked and lived in Herefordshire for many years, both have extensive background knowledge of tourism and businesses in the area.

Mrs Beard is currently the chair of the Herefordshire Sustainable Food and Tourism Partnership and Mrs Tolley is business development manager at Herefordshire College of Arts. They will use their considerable knowledge of the county to deliver the new Visit Herefordshire Strategic Plan.

Visit Herefordshire chairman Alan Curless said: “It’s really positive to have such an enthusiastic and supportive group of directors. It is important to ensure the economic growth of the county is developed and maximised to ensure Herefordshire is seen as a leading rural destination, attracting more visitors and new opportunities. Visit Herefordshire will continue to support new and existing businesses and I am sure that both Jenny and Wendy will use their expertise and contacts to help fulfil and deliver our vision."
