A WORCESTERSHIRE health and fitness instructor has scooped a quartet of major national awards.

Nicola Carless, who runs The Studio in Bromsgrove, won the most inspirational instructor, coach and tutor and best sports, health and fitness group in both regional and national categories at the What's On 4 Me 2014 Awards at Earls Court, London.

Ms Carless opened The Studio in 2012 and has drawn on her 17 years experience in the business to design her own exclusive, brand of fitness classes.

She said: "I am really honoured to have been nominated for these awards in the first instance and I am absolutely over the moon to have won all four awards for which I was nominated. It has always been a dream of mine to open my own fitness studio and that came true in January 2012. It is everything I wanted it to be, a place where women and men could come to get active, lose weight, have fun, boost their confidence and feel good about themselves again. I have a purpose and a passion to inspire my clients to succeed by giving them the best of my experience, knowledge and support. I am truly grateful for the support my clients give to me, my team and The Studio and I want to thank them for voting both myself and The Studio for these prestigious awards and getting me through to winner both regionally and nationally in this national competition.”

The What's On 4 Me Award programme is now in its fourth year and celebrates the best leisure activity providers across the UK as nominated and voted for by the UK public. This year the awards covered 22 categories from most inspirational coach to volunteer of the year. Thousands of nominations and votes were received from around the UK, making winning an award a monumental achievement.
