WHAT do solicitors do in their down time? The answer for one Worcester lawyer is that his alter ego plays guitar in a rock, punk and indie band called McScraggy & the Suits.

Now the two sides of Stuart Price's life have combined with the news that he is to lead a new team at law firm Thursfields specialising in serving organisations working in the technology, entertainment and media sectors.

Mr Price has began working with clients in the music industry in 2001 and developed his experience in the creative industries by working with video production, film and TV companies.

He has also worked with software and games developers and is regularly called upon to lecture at local universities on intellectual property law. He said: "We can offer an holistic approach to businesses working in this sector. Our sector specific knowledge complements our legal expertise and enables us to provide an excellent service to our clients”.

The new technology, entertainment and media team includes lawyers with expertise across the legal disciplines of intellectual property, commercial and corporate law, employment and human resources, and insolvency services.

Nick O’ Hara , managing director of Thursfields, added: "We have made a significant investment in our commercial services offering in recent years. The strategic hire of lawyers with city experience has earned us a strong reputation for providing excellent legal and commercial advice to our business clients. This is the first of several new sector specialisms that will be coming on stream in the next few months.”
