ST RICHARD'S Hospice has been bowled over by the success of the president’s charity cricket day at Worcestershire County Cricket Club.
The event was a sell out with more than 250 guests enjoying a buffet lunch and afternoon tea during the Worcestershire v Gloucestershire one day cup game.
Club president John Elliott hosted the event in association with Graham Spence of Mardon Financial Advisers with support from long-standing St Richard’s Hospice volunteer Graham Robertson.
St Richard’s fundraising manager Rachel Jones said: “We were all delighted with the day, and to raise in the region of £12,000 profit for St Richard’s is absolutely wonderful. We are very grateful to John Elliott, Graham Spence, Graham Robertson and all those who made it such a success. The raffle and auction - conducted by Anthony Champion from Halls estate agents - and money from the collection in the grounds helped boost the final sum.”
