  • Is this their vision?

    In a blueprint sent to local councils, the Government confirms that its vision for the future includes more healthcare provided locally in the community. They are making £750 million available over the next five years to make this happen by investing in the building of community hospitals. They also say that they cannot support proposals to close or reduce the scope of community hospitals, or to reduce the range of their services, if their only purpose is to make short term savings. read more

  • Concerns over merger

    AS chairman of Bidford on Avon Parish Council, I am writing to express the council's grave concerns re the merger of the ambulance services. read more

  • Art of Number gate!

    Yesterday I saw for the first time the new gates created by local blacksmith Steve Cooper which adorn the rear entrance to Number 8 which faces on to Broad Street. They are truly a work of modern art and enhance the town considerably. read more
