DOLAN Patrick 'Pat' Passed away peacefully on May 23rd, 2018 aged 80 years. Retired Landlord of The Golden Heart, Evesham. Much loved Husband of Esther, beloved Dad to Peter and Anthony and dearly loved Grandad to Amy, Zoe, Ashley, Lucas and Max. He will be greatly missed by all the Family. Funeral Service to take place at 11.15 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20th, 2018 at Cheltenham Crematorium. Pat's Family have requested that bright clothes may be worn at the Service. Family flowers only please. Donations in memory are to benefit St Richard's Hospice. A collection box will available as you leave the Crematorium.

I knew Pat sixty years ago when he was a much valued member of the Southport Road Cycling Club. To me, as a raw fourteen year old, he seemed rather studious, perhaps the rimless spectacles created that impression, but he was friendly and helpful. This is the only photo I have of Pat, it is at the start of the Southport Grand Prix. Two of the riders on the front row were national champions so Pat is in good company.
Condolences to Pat's family on behalf of his many team mates and friends in Southport cycling. By the way Pat still holds the Southport to Settle and back record!
