EVESHAM United put their unbeaten start to the season on the line against Totton, another of the Southern League Division One South and West pace-setters, tomorrow (3pm).
The Robins have one victory and three draws, including 0-0 at leaders Yate Town on Tuesday, from their opening four games.
Paul Collicutt’s side have also only conceded one goal so far and that was after 29 seconds of the opening match at Fleet Town, which ended 1-1.
But they welcome a Totton side to the Spiers and Hartwell Jubilee Stadium who thrashed Swindon Supermarine 6-1 in midweek.
The Evesham manager said: “It’s an important game against a side that are playing with a lot of confidence.
“Keeping clean sheets is important to me but we want to entertain by scoring goals. We have got players who can score goals but we haven’t been firing on all cylinders.”
Collicutt says there are a few “tired legs” following the Yate stalemate and the players were given last night off from training.
Striker Ashley Edenborough is rated as 70-30 against being fit for Totton because of a hamstring injury.
